With stay-at-home orders in effect, all of us here at Raza & Jones, LLC want to assure you that under St. Louis County’s Order, as a family law firm we are considered an essential business, and we will remain open and available to all our clients during this very difficult time.
The entire firm is working remotely, using our Zoom account to meet with clients, or speaking by telephone. We are committed to delivering the same high standard of compassionate, effective representation we’re known for. In the face of these rapidly-changing circumstances, we will be there for you every step of the way.
Here’s what we know about how scheduled divorce and custody hearings will be affected.
St. Louis County, St. Louis City, St. Charles County, Jefferson County: At this time, courts will be open for business, but have suspended ALL in person court activities except for emergency hearings. Temperature checks will be required of anyone needing to enter a courthouse.
Below are the dates (as of right now) that the individual Counties will resume “normal” operations. Please note, all the Orders mention these dates could be extended.
St. Louis City – April 10
St. Louis County – April 17
St. Charles County – April 3
Jefferson County – April 3
To avoid any delay in scheduled cases, some Judges are making plans to hold hearings using Zoom video conferencing. Other hearings have been postponed, and parties will be notified of new court dates through their attorney (if representing themselves, parties will be notified by mail). The situation will be evaluated and updated in the near future.
