Sophya Raza and Stephanie Jones are guests of Maximum Mom podcast
Sophya Raza and Stephanie Jones appear as guests this week on the Maximum Mom website podcast series. In “Personality, Partnerships, and Pandemics,” the Raza & Jones, LLC managing partners reflect on challenges and successes since launching the family law firm more than five years ago, along with the professional and personal hurdles they faced together due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Maximum Mom weekly podcasts feature women who are navigating “lawyering, entrepreneurship and mothering,” explains host Elise Buie. Jones, mother of two young children, and Raza, mother of a nine-year-old daughter, describe how their conversations over several years led to the firm’s founding in January 2016. In spite or because of recent personal changes in both their lives, they felt the timing was right.
Since then, the attorneys have celebrated numerous professional “wins”, from hiring stellar associates to being named “Best Law Firm” by U.S. News & World Report for six years consecutively.
Managing family and clients throughout a public health crisis, while stressful, played to their strengths. Both women have deep compassion for clients who already are experiencing some of the worst times in their lives due to separation and divorce, child custody, and other family situations. They supported and relied on their clients, families and each other throughout the pandemic, even as family courts closed, legal hearings were postponed and communication switched to video- and teleconference formats.
The 45-minute audio interview is full of relatable humor and inspiration. Listen today to Maximum Mom podcast episode 23, “Personality, Partnerships and Pandemics.”
