For over a decade, I’ve focused my legal career on complex divorce cases. I’ve never practiced any other type of law and family law is what I’ve always wanted to do with my law degree. People ask all the time why I purposely chose this type of law and my response is always the same – I truly enjoy helping people.

After having gone through the divorce process myself early in my career, I was able to observe the divorce process through the eyes of not only an attorney but also as a participant. That has given me a unique perspective in understanding the process as both an insider and an outsider. My clients appreciate that I’ve been on both sides of the table and can understand the issues from their perspective.

A family law case is unique from other types of legal matters in that many different issues often intersect. It is not uncommon for a family law case to involve questions about taxes, valuation of a business or practice, child custody, estate planning, and accounting concepts. There are different approaches to every family law case. Some people prefer mediation and collaboration over traditional litigation and sometimes litigation is the only option given the circumstances of a particular case. Our practice offers the most comprehensive approach to all of your family law needs and goals. We truly do it all and we are here to help you.

My husband, Will James, and I live in St. Louis City. Will is the Principal Percussionist with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and I enjoy attending concerts to watch him play.  We have two young children, the youngest of whom just joined the family in 2017. We are enjoying being a family of four. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, running, and yoga.
